Q: What does the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation & Park District (RLEPD) do?
A: RLEPD provides parks, community facilities, youth and adult programs, aquatics, sports, senior services, and community events for the Rio Linda and Elverta communities.

Q: What are your office hours?
A: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Hours may vary on holidays.

Park & Facility FAQs

Q: Are your parks open to the public?
A: Yes. All RLEPD parks are open daily from sunrise to sunset.

Q: Do the parks have restrooms?
A: Some parks have restrooms available. Restroom hours may vary and are subject to maintenance schedules.

Q: Can I host a birthday party or event at a park?
A: Yes. Some parks allow reservations for events. Please contact our office to check availability and permit requirements.

Q: Are bounce houses allowed at RLEPD parks?
A: No. Bounce houses and inflatables are not permitted at any RLEPD park or facility.

Q: Are dogs allowed in the parks?
A: Yes. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times, and owners are responsible for cleanup.

Q: Is smoking allowed in the parks?
A: No. RLEPD is a smoke-free district. Smoking or vaping must be done off-site (such as on the bike trail).

Community Center and Depot Rental FAQs

Q: How do I reserve the Community Center?
A: Call our office or visit our website to submit a rental inquiry. Reservations require payment and a security deposit.

Q: What is included with a rental?
A: Tables, chairs, access to the main hall, restrooms, and patio. The kitchen is only available if you reserved the kitchen add-on.

Q: When do I get my deposit back?
A: Deposits are processed by our supervisor staff the following week after your event, once the facility has been inspected.

Q: Do renters get early access?
A: No. You may only enter the building at your scheduled start time.

Programs & Activities FAQs

Q: How do I register for youth or adult programs?
A: Register online through our program portal or in person at the Community Center.

Q: Do programs fill up?
A: Yes-many programs have limited spots. Register early to secure your place.

Q: Do you offer financial assistance?
A: No, unfortunately we do not offer financial assistance or reduced-fee options at this time.

Q: What happens if a class or program is cancelled?
A: Participants are notified by email and/or text. Refunds or credits will be issued depending on the situation.

Events FAQs

Q: Are community events free?
A: Many of our events are free thanks to sponsors and donations. Some events may have entry fees or vendor fees.

Q: How can I become a vendor at an event?
A: Vendor applications for events like the Trunk or Treat, orvBreakfast with Santa are available on our website.

Q: Where is the pool located?
A: At Rio Linda High School, 6309 Dry Creek Rd., Rio Linda, CA.

Q: When is the pool open?
A: Pool hours vary by season. Swim lessons, swim team, lifeguard classes, and open swim are posted on our website and social media.

A: Visit our online registration portal. Classes fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.

A: We do not offer refunds, only credits may be issued.
