Public Records Request Policy of Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Parks District
Purpose:
To establish District policy and guidelines concerning accessibility of District records.
Background:
Section 6253 of the Government Code provides that every person has a right to inspect any public record except those specifically exempted by law.
"Public record" is defined by law to include any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public's business prepared, owned, used, or retained by the District regardless of physical form or characteristics.

Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.
